I've got a number of pet immune PIR's on a new system I've just had installed. Not sure I'm too happy. Should I be able to walk 80% of the way across my lounge before it picks me up? If I duck near the sofas, I can beat it all together. Doesn't seem like much of alarm system if I can do that! Any thoughts?

Does't sound too good to me. I assume they are set to the manufacturers instructions. Not like normal PIRs

He's just had the system Installed, his Installer needs to return and set them up correctly.
