I have recently purchased a house which is fitted with a Scantronic 9600 control panel. My problem is that on occasion it emits a series of bleeps. These do not follow any particular pattern or frequency. The bleeps do not sound like those emitted when making entries on the keypad, they are of a slighly higher pitch.

I have not opened the control panel as yet and would appreciate any suggestions from your membership.

Check the log on the panel first and see if there are any faults listed. But I would also suggest that you have smoke detectors fitted and its actually the low battery warning on them.
