Veritas 8c Alarm Won't Set

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Veritas 8c alarm which was installed 18 months ago. The other morning i turned the alarm off when I got up and when i went to set it again I got a single long beep and I couldn't set or reset the alarm. Looking in the manual it says that the box can be set with a service timer which prevents the alarm from working, could this be the problem ? is there a way around this with a reset code ? The company who installed it which is 5 doors down from my house says they will have to send an engineer all of 25 yards with a minimum

It is advisable to have your system serviced every year but a company cant make you have it serviced and by programming your panel to cut out after the warranty runs out is not very good. tell them if they dont turn of the service timer you will contact tradeing standards and then get a reputable company of here to service your panel at least you wont be ripped off.
