Why Get Alarmed?

Featured Replies

hi i would just like to ask what is the point of getting an alarm? Nowadays when you hear an alarm going off, nobody takes any notice, so what is the point of spending several hundreds of pounds on a top of the range alarm system when nobody takes any notice of them?????

Thanks

ok, Just another question, what colour are the status/live LEDS on a Texecom odyssey 2 bellbox?

Getting alarmed keeps peice of mind, because nearly every alarm installed these days are linked to a central monitoring station who can ring your key holders, police and other relevant emergency services when the alarm is activated.

The systems you are refering to are known as a 'Bells only' alarm, which as it states, creates a noice only and as you say, not many people take notice to them.

The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else.

The LEDs are always the same colour. It is the lense which you place over them which changes the colour. And you can not tell from the bell box whether the system is set or not.
