ranger
Hey there guys, I usually fit galaxy range and sometimes menvier but have decided to have a look at the Texecom Premier range as it is being handed to me on a plate. I must say, the flush keypads.. Very Nice!! So lads, what do you think of the texecom panels, any good points that make it worth while or maybe make it not worth concidering? Have been told i can have the TP 24, 48, 88, 168, 640 but as far as i know they are the same panel but with more max zones, right? (comments on any texecom panels will be great too ) As i said, i really like the look of the keypads and think it could make a lot of my installs look that bit extra. ranger
Hmm.. not to sure on the 24 then. Doesnt seem like a bad panel with the relay and ext. How about the veritas panels also? I kind of see them as more of a DIYers panel tho, or does anyone disagree? Ranger The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else. Rik
Been using the Premier range for a couple of years now & think they're great. The 48,88,168, & 640 are near as damn it the same bar expansion capabilities, no.of user codes, & size of log. I personally don't like the 24 due to the more limited functionality & because of the small difference in price only use the 48 upwards, the wintex software is absolutely spot on (knocks spots off galaxy gold/remote servicing suite), & a lot cheaper than galaxy gear. ranger
hehe nice pic. Hmm, definatly sounds like a good panel so far then. Has anyone ever fitted the flush keypads and how easy was it to make the space in the wall? I would hate to give it a go and end up with a gap in the wall lol in advance guys, Ranger The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else. Rik
The Flush rkp's come with a steel backbox & template, you'll need to chop out about 40-50mm to fit the backbox, doddle in stud walls though.
Guest Alarm Guard
One great big plus with Texecom range .... the technical and IT support is second to none. And don't be so quick to discount the Veritas range. It is ideal for many audible only applications. I would advise that the 2400 com is far superior to the 300 com board. Probably the only criticism you will see on this forum is that Texecom panels are easy to obtain. IMO that is a strange criticism ... and one that could be made about the Galaxy soon if ADI do what they intend!
avcctv
I love them, great software to program them and will do most stuff I want. Only trouble with the Prem 24 is you cant program wards, so that kicked my haouse install into touch when I wanted to set the garage and outbuildings up. Will be getting the 48 in future just to cover my ass in future installs as this has more functionalty. PS. The tech support is 100% spot on. The older I get, the faster I was.
