Accenta 6 - Control Panel Locked

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone could help me out here?

I recently replaced my back-up battery in my Accenta 6. I powered the system down from the mains, then replaced the battery and then powered up from the mains. Now the panel is locked up with the tamper light on. If i disconnect the battery and the mains - the alarms sounds and the key panel becomes active inorder for me to silence it but when i enter the code it locks up again with the tamper light on. I have also disconnected the mains with the new battery connected but it did its job - no alarm

sounded. I have also checked for any loose wires within the main box.

Any help on this would be must appreciated.

Regards,

zman.

Thats normal operation..you have to clear the tamper fault ( panel lid?) and press RESET.

Thankyou FASTCAR but the 'RESET' button on the panel is unresponsive and locked - no sound!!!

Check that the panel tamper switch still has a spring on it , make sure it clicks when pressed.

Check the other tamper circuits (global and bell), if that fails check the fuses.

Thas because the tamper fault isn't clear yet. Keypad is locked totally until all tampers are clear, at which point you'll get a loud 'bleep' and it'll drop back to day mode. (unless you break the tamper again).
