Hi. Really need some advice before ripping system out and installing new.

I moved into my house a year ago. It has a dsc power832 (the panel i think is pc5015

it only has three sets of buttons on the right). Anyhoo worked fine until a week ago.

The numbers 3,2,4,3 keep flashing on the screen and i can't do anything to get them

to stop. I have changed the batteries in all the sensors and also replaced the back-up battery.

Startin to get a bit minty with it and considering getting it all ripped out and replaced unless

anyone here knows anything about these things.

cheers

Press # then * then 2 on the keypad and lets us know what comes up on the display :hmm:

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

wont even let me do that anymore. just buzzes when i hit 2 then goes back to flasing 3 then 2 then 4 then 3. its all very strange.

Sounds like the panel could be on remote reset, is it/was it on contract with a alarm company?

would prefer to get it fixed to be honest. was hopin it was a common prob that

could be easily solved, but never mind.

Yes its easy solved, you just enter the reset code (Thats if its on remote reset?)

But long term, if it's just going to be a bell only system then I would get someone to program that bit out (so system is on user reset).

Also give it a once over to make sure its work ok etc
