That's what I'm hoping for but know in past I have passed a few queries straight to manager and seeing his technical past knew solutions whereas I feel with this new chap it will all be goobydegook to him
-
That's the problem ...... Had that post for 4 years and never did speak to him

Getting a new service manager. Was a call centre supervisor beforehand. Think all my previous service managers have been engineers or sales within the industry prior to moving to management. Interesting times ahead
-
Do you think a service manager should have some intruder / cctv knowledge / background to be able to fulfil the role as service manager successfully or can any admin type manager manage in this industry
-
All the ai phone stuff we do are modular and have the seperate model numbers on the back of each module. When had to change codes before there technical support were very helpful
-
I agree but I'm in line to move across the line to become supervisor but basic is only 30k. Rest of money is made up of overtime and bonuses if targets are hit. In all homesty I think I can make more money staying as an engineer doing my callout but comes a stage in life where getting fed up of doing the callout. Chatting to present supervisor as you say his earnings are always close to the 40k mark
-
26k upwards seems about right if that doesn't include doing callout.

We have 2 different codes for discon. One for permanent and one for temp customer to advise recon. If say new door being fitted we automatically close the disconnect job down as a return call to reconnect.
-
We use a company called Rico. Think service is called PUDO. Have centres all around. Seem to work a treat at moment.
-
My terminal screwdriver. Be lost without it. Got to stage even when not working I still have one in my pocket
-
We carry one as car stock. Usually just swap chip and sim over from old unit and away you go.
-
Thinking more on the lines of access and alarms. I know most of alarms use fobs but even so
-
Just come across this ...... Video Shows How Easy it is to Steal ATM Pin Codes with an iPhone [Watch] http://iClarified.com/43496. Quite interesting

If I remember correctly our workshop and office had a canteen so meals were subsidised hence us mobile engineers got luncheon vouchers.
-
Years ago and I do mean years ago we used to get luncheon vouchers. Do they still exsist ?
-
Was still funny though ....

Have I reopened up the can of worms !

What thickness of cable would you use to run an electric cooker ....
-
You can use the spare 2 cores to hang your washing on
-

Yes I did but it didn't warn me that destination is going to be that hot !! What a **** choice of device that was ;-)

Useless !! Hehe. Looking on web it ain't easily done. As you said it had 7 updates waiting for it and all done. Now for an evening of being a geek and trying to customise it to my needs.
Am a subscriber to there. Have downloaded their camera database as worked well with the Tom tom. Yet to test it on garmin. Can't see a way of adding audio to camera poi. Will see what device does tomorrow when I drive past one.

Have picked up garmin and first impressions are good. Screen is crystal clear and traffic connects quickly.
The power cable is very thick and non standard so will need to purchase an additional one for other car
Here comes first question cubit ... Can you import your own car icon as have always had pic of works car as icon and it seems odd without it !

More of a case of national account customers and problems on site then actual equipment faults. Working for a national there's so many people that have to get involved then just going route one to get something what seems straightforward to get sorted out.
