Just wanted to get peoples views on the Galaxy G2 panel line as Honeywell seem to have replaced it with the Flex line without actually removing the G2 product line.

I get the theory but customers aren't going to pay for that. But I guess that's why home networks are so vulnerable!

So is that pptp or ipsec?
pptp isn't secure but the easiest to implement
i get the router idea but most customers will have their providers standard which are rubbish in my humble opinion

funny you say that about a vpn as i use one for other things, but there is always something running software at each end to deal with it.
how can you use a vpn on an alarm? do you have to run it on a pc in your home/office?

Have no issue as such, just more and more people require an app.
used visonic app before but I'm really a Galaxy person
i was going to use texecom elite 12w lite for domestics as it's easier than running a Calle to a key pad but after reading the texecom forum not so sure now

Has anyone used the Galaxy gx app?
Ive been reading on the texecom forum about the utter disaster of their app and wonder if it was just texecom how got it so wrong or whether its industry wide.

Thanks for the link but I was looking for a little more detail like is it free or subscription. How do you register, is it by webway setting you up as an installer?
