  1. most systems work on polls like comms. They poll every so often in to check. Then they get the command to turn on leds etc. Transmit alarms when armed instantly, transmit when disarmed as part of poll ie the HKC polls every 20 secs, you can push it longer for battery or shorter etc.
  2. eline is a rebadge. Fine sensor and ive used loads. Different to the mirrored alarmcom based units. Watch for new units based onthis tech. Some very exciting stuff coming from vanderbilt in the next 12 months.
  3. It's a basic but ok panel. We sell lots of them.
  4. Depends on the wireless. It's not like WiFi. Each has their own some is good, most isnt
  5. not really the market will demand 3rd party comms so panel sales will drop but peripheral sales will increase.
  6. There is good integration i believe with eaton. Its only hkc and pyronix blocking or planning to block iirc
  7. The cables are probably under the floorboards. Mice like to chew cables. The alarm is only low voltage so no issue apart from the one you have. But if it's been chewing mains cables too you have a bigger worry
  8. get someone to look at it. You have an issue. Dont make it any worse
