Pyronix E76 Polling to external bell failing
New Pyronix E76 system with Input Expansion Module. Fully wired system except for the external bell which is wireless. Roughly every 20 - 30 minutes the polling to the bell fails and the system cannot be set. Home Control displays the message "Wirles Poll Fail: Full Set Night Set Siren 1" After about 10 - 15 minutes the polling is restored with the message "Wirls Poll Restr: Full Set Night Set Siren 1" and the system can now be set again. The installers attended and replaced the wireless bell and reported that the system was working normally. However, these polling failures have continued. Any ideas as to what is going on? Tim

Analogue Telephone Adaptor - Recommendations?
I have a very old intruder alarm which uses an autodialler to contact ADT for monitoring. I am about to be switched to Digital Voice by BT. I understand that I can use an ATA so that the alarm can still contact ADT via Digital Voice. What ATA would be best for this? Thanks!

Monitored Alarm
I need a system with vibration sensors for the windows, door contacts and a PA button. I'd like it monitored. I can install it myself or I'm happy to have it professionally installed. Any suggestions please?

Anti-tamper question
Thanks James!

Anti-tamper question
Quick question: I need to replace the front panel of the remote keypad on an Optima Plus system. If I put the system into Engineer mode first, will the anti-tamper switch be disabled? (I don't want to set the whole thing off!) Thanks Tim

How to connect alarm's auto-dialler to my BT line?
You are right! Three terminals marked 5 3 2. So which ones should I connect the two auto-dialler wires to?

How to connect alarm's auto-dialler to my BT line?
Thanks SWB - point taken! Al-yeti: Not sure what you mean by "extension side terminals" Attached picture of the unit. Presently, BT line and alarm dialler going to the internal terminals. Phone and router plugged into the front. Where exactly should the alarm dialler wires go? Thanks!

How to connect alarm's auto-dialler to my BT line?
I've just installed a new Mk4 Openreach Master Socket onto our phone line. I connected BT's line and the auto-dialler's cable directly together at the Master Socket's terminals. Is this correct? The reason I ask is that after installing the new Master Socket, I did a test activation of the alarm to check that ADT was receiving the signal ok. ADT confirmed that they received it ok, but when I then did an internet speed test, the speed was almost zero! I used BT's automatic fault-finding system and after it 'Refreshed' my BT Hub, normal internet speed was resumed. It seems that the auto-dialler somehow upset our internet connection, so is there a better way to connect it? Thanks! Tim

Yale Smart Alarm External Box
Which system is that?

Yale Smart Alarm External Box
Thanks to all for your suggestions. I'll take a look at the Pyronix Enforcer system. Whereabouts in London are you, Al Yeti?

Yale Smart Alarm External Box
Thanks SWB - that looks perfect! So one other question for you: I notice that some here don't think too much of the Yale system. Why is that? It is really a rubbish system? Or is it that it's DIY rather than professionally installed? So what system would you recommend? Here's what I think I need.. DIY Install Fully wireless Keypad with at least 3 x 4-digit codes Video PIRs External and internal sounders Extendable with smoke detector, extra PIRs etc

Yale Smart Alarm External Box
Does anyone know if you can use another manufacturer's external siren with a Yale Smart wireless system? The site is a listed building in a conservation area and we'd like something a little more discreet! (I've submitted this question to Yale, but so far no response) Thanks, Tim

Optima Plus2 - Anyone recognise this Error?
Just replaced the battery but cannot reset the system. The display is flashing '6' and the Tamper LED is flashing. I cannot find this error condition in the manual and wonder if anyone can help? (Zone 6 is not used on this system and the ant-tamper terminals are bridged, so I don't think that's the problem)

Optima Plus - Anyone familiar with this old system?
Yes, flat grey buttons. Here's what happens: Power on - Immediately the internal sounder goes off Enter customer code - Display shows 'U' and the sounder now just beeps every 3 seconds Press Reset - Display now shows 'E' Enter Engineer Code - Display shows '6' and the Tamper LED lights. Beeping stops. That's as far as I can get. On my system Zone 6 is unused and the alarm and anti-tamper terminals are bridged. So I don't think the problem is a tamper at zone 6. One other thing - the battery was almost flat - down to 3 volts. Reading another earlier post, that may cause a problem? Anyway, all thoughts welcome!

Optima Plus - Anyone familiar with this old system?
Hi All, Wondering if anyone can help. I've just powered up my Optima Plus system after having to re-fix the control unit to the wall. It's been powered off for several months but it seems to have remembered my codes. I'm having trouble getting it back in service and need some help with a mysterious error code. Any help - or even a visit if you're not far from London - would be great. Thanks, Tim
