It's a TH16,cheap as chips and as with all the sonoff I've never had any issues. It's set up with Geo fencing in IFTTT and to come on 1st thing to keep the Mrs feet warm whilst she makes my breakfast because I'm nice like that.
But not as nice as the time you bought her the Kenwood and the new oven both on the SAME BIRTHDAY?

I agree I don't think it's floating at 6V just because there is no battery

Ah just in case no-one thinks it's true...

However, the reason I didn't realise is that this is a bit hidden.
If you go into Risco (UK) website, as I did a few months back when I thought E aton weren't ever going to deliver V6 software, you get told they do Lightsys, Agility and Prosys only.

I don't think that 17 year old discussion particularly helps any argument tbh
Ultimately; customer messes, customer accepts they were the last to touch the system and accepts any consequences, I cannot imagine any insurer, or any judge in any court having any issue with that, nor stating that you have a safety duty of care NOT to provide specific manufacturers data or manuals.

You leaving the installer manual will not affect your liability (if any) one jot.
-
As above it is not normal practice to have been given the installer manual for a professionally installed alarm system.
Also as above, if a system of this age 'goes wrong', the installer manual is unlikely to be of any use beyond disabling it pending a replacement system. Unless you're a fan of 30 year old washing machines, microwaves, TVs, light bulbs, cars... etc... it seems odd to be wanting to keep a 30 year old alarm going.
-
Either way it seems to be in competition with the black one to the left

And he doesn't mean Pyronix

Guessing it's in fact not a melcom but not exactly a great name to have chosen for an installer!

The New Menvier and now any Eaton i-On except the Compact does very nice code controlled shunts

Blimey fair enough. I knew keypads were still going.
Years back I loved the 816 etc...
Probably a bit like everyone says they used to like Scanny
-
I thought it was long discontinued? But who is right?
-
Yes I was just wondering did the panel ruin the battery, or did a duff battery ruin the panel.
Either way spares are long gone for this obselete system.
I'm guessing the alarm otherwise still meets your needs.
Systems are much of a muchness now, so something like a Pyronix Euro mini, Texecom Premier, Eaton (Scantronic) 40H will be ideal.
Are the expanders all remote, or next to the panel? Two of the above systems can give you 2 zones on the keypad if that helps.
Also the Eaton comes with 10 zones on board plus free Cloud based self monitoring e.g. apple or android app.

Brand new battery, decent brand?

What's the nature of the problem?
