  1. i Matt I may be picking your brains on the Ziton stuff we have recently taken on a group of leisure centres theres a Ziton panel in one of them
  2. Hi and welcome
  3. Why?...........................................Why?..............................................................Why???????????
  4. Hi Arf There is a clue in the name, End of Line, the resistors should go at the end of every circuit. The panel is looking for a resistance coming back on the circuit, one resistance for open circuit and a different resistance for closed circuit. Its to stop potential sabotage of the system whilst its in day mode, i.e system disarmed someone comes along and cuts the wire or shorts the wire, thinking that the system will still arm but wont go off when they break in when the system is armed. Of course as soon as they tamper with the wire the system will activate armed or not.
  5. Non of these panels are used over here, but I had a Polish engineer that rated the Satel stuff Hungary
  6. The one Charlie has is Driod, you could have picked one up in China the other week
  7. Hi and welcome, dont put yourself down anyone can be anything they want to be, it just takes a bit of hard work thats all
  8. One of the sales reps who visits me has one it works quite well, I like watch's too much to want one though
  9. QFA first time someone touches it they wont touch it again
  10. Hi an d welcome
  11. I think they would soon suss there is only one customer on the app and switch it off
  12. Panels with apps are available but they are not available to the DIY market as you need to have an account to log into the web software to set up the app for the panel.
  13. I look after the alarm at one of the producers houses, he wanted CCTV and we got talking
  14. We had to use a clock radio in the bedroom swapped the standard leds for ir ones thats why the ir is all over the place, his wife told him she was testing it for her mother, the clock radio is quite funky though you can only read it at night. The other two we used black IR the one in the kitchen there was no where to hide the IR so there is no ir
  15. Funnily I thought that, apparently they had been planning this for some time with his wife so they new what he wore in bed. I was also concerned about the privacy issues of between him arriving home and going to bed.
  16. Been up all night working on this, but the final edit turned out really good really please with the 1.3mp cams they did a great job
  17. Bizzare because in the early years NSI frowned upon their use Welcome BTW
  18. Craig, the public side of this forum is miniscule in comparison to the trade side and there are many members that are trade only that cannot even see your post. You are welcome to apply for trade.
  19. If the bell still sounds when you down power it then why are you changing the battery? Its not essential that the sa battery is replaced unless it is really u/s, the chances of someone breaking in to your property and completely down powering the alarm system is low. The bellbox looks like a Nova 6 so there is a screw behind the blue lense if you look closely you will see there is screw cover in the lense. Personally I would not bother until the battery fails completely
  20. I have nothing against ADT, however, a local would just quote a GSM or Wifi solution for a lot less than £800, now ADT may also be a lot less than £800 but engineer should have called the office and quoted the correct price. At the end of the day its about giving the customer the right information so they can make the right decision
  21. Pleased to see you are giving as good as you get there. As for the fault I have never known any addressable fire panel do that with no faults but I cant see how you have it wired or what its wired too. I would test that it works ok firstly then secondly look to see which relay is clicking if it has one Im not familiar with Gent, there a closed protocol system.
  22. Two weeks to six months take a wild guess! Anyway looking at your picture you dont look old enough to be employed just yet
  23. It would if they want the CCTV to be admissible though. Domestic can do what they like so long as they are not breaking any privacy laws. But if you want the CCTV to used as evidence it has to comply
  24. That said the question is about data protection and CCTV Hi Sophie The ico does not like audio recordings with CCTV system besides anything else it also breaks a few privacy laws, and unless your system is fully compliant with the DPA the CCTV would not be admissible in court anyway It sounds like you are having environmental problems you can get more information on what to do here https://www.gov.uk/local-environmental-quality I would swerve the swan kit like my life depended on it.
