  1. Hi all, I have recently been testing out an AJAX Wireless Alarm System. So far it seems pretty good. Just wondering if anyone here has used these systems? and what are they like in the long term for reliability? ...and how long do the batteries really last in real life use please? Thanks
  2. Thank you! yes and battery replaced.
  3. Hi all, So I was looking at the Scantronic I-ON panels and I read something about 'Daisy Chaining' or BUS Wiring - Where you can install the devices - from one to the other. Can someone explain if this actually works? and how it is done? ...and how does it work? ....does this work for PIRs? or only Key Pads? Thanks
  4. It's fixed! - It was a blown fuse in the end! When I first tested the fuses - I did not remove them from the panel!! (YES! I am a doughnut!) I think ..I caused the fuse to blow - as I cut the bell wire - whilst the system was still powered on. Thank you again all!
  5. Thanks - I have ordered a new battery - will get back to you soon.
  6. There is only one PIR on the system and the light is off. So I guess it's not working?
  7. Hi, Yes, I think the battery is ok - It was showing over 12.6v.
  8. Thanks - I have checked all the fuses and they seem ok.
  9. Hi all, I removed a friend's Bell Box as they were having some work done. ...a few months later I have now re-installed a Texecom 1E Sounder - But the alarm panel is now showing an error: AUX DC FAIL Any help or advise please? Thanks
  10. Hi all, This issue finally got resolved .... I replaced the cable from the Garage PIR to the Panel and also replaced the PIR. No more false alarms so far. Thank you to all that helped and advised
  11. Hi all, So recently bought some of these Bosch Blue Line Gen 2 PIRs ...but the instructions mention nothing about the EOL resistors. Pelase could someone confirm across which terminals they should be placed? (2k2 and 4k7) Thanks
  12. Many thanks. I will double check this also.
  13. Yes ...I believe so. It also done the funny beep.
  14. Thank you. Will try those things. Yes, We did walk test the system and the detector did pickup movement at the time.
  15. This is the exact sensor I used
  16. Sorry, I mean a Dual Tech sensor is installed the garage. The model of Sensor is ‘Texecom Premier DT’ I will try the steps you have suggested ...and get back to you. thanks
  17. Hi all, Need some help please. Me and friend just installed a Premier Elite 48 and placed a Premier Elite DT PIR Sensor in the garage. However, the Garage PIR is causing false alarms within minutes of arming the system. We have turned the Microwave sensitivity right down to minimum and changed the Pulse Count Jumper to '2' ...but it's still setting off the alarm. What's the first thing I can try please? Could it be cold air blowing through the garage door or vents? Thanks
  18. Hi all, I'm gonna attempt my first DIY install of Texecom Premier Elite 12-W Panel. What I'd like to know is ...Can I upgrade the firmware via a COM IP module? or do I have to use the Flasher Module? Thanks
