How bad is it for an alarm to have a battery in it which hasn't been changed for 25 years?
not great, sounds like we've being servicing it
-
I really want an ADE Series 700 H.S.
oh dear,
do you know where I could get a Scantronic 9500?
ebay, ask nicely on TSI or befriend a local co. / route around in their skip..
-
Do you take out many old Accentas?
not many, priced to change one to Euro 46
binned of this week a 700l & Digitas which is stuff we fitted in the 1st place
-
That's it then, just leave it for the next 10,000 to read...
nah you'd need to be popular website like - http://twitter.com/cybergibbons
-
It was on eBay
is this gonna this being used as proper alarm or a bit of fun in shed or bench ect ?
-
I guess your buying just a pcb from ebay ?
-

a 9600 is old ****, from IIRC 1989 ish onwards?
should some one move in a zone omitted in part set during entry it can produce an alarm,
sometimes entry tones can continue after unsetting (walk testing stops it)
get crash happy with age
-
Graham whitehead Liverpool ish 1985 ish
Why?

Don't suppose this was with DM
Heitel & System Q Dome
Alien & Samsung Dome
Computar / Ganz & Cop Dome (DVR front panel worked dome, Ganz remote keyboard would operate DVR but not Dome connected to DVR)
-
I was of the impression very little pyronix gear was still made in the uk?
I assume assembled in the UK,
-
Dvr will be a pain for testing
found odd things with dvrs-
keyboard or modern all in one tester would call menu but dvr wouldn't or needed more than 1 try
-
yes done that , on a bench,
you got a proper ptz keyboard or using the telemetry on the dvr ?
-
This is your answer for now...

there maybe someone with the info I need, surely its not such a closed shop on here or out there, just looking for a friendly bit of assistance..
not a lot to ask on a forum...and with so many qualified engineers, fitters, installers etc on here.
Unless someone got the Basson knowledge to share-
Rig up on a bench, when powered up it will probably display protocol & baud rate,
Adjust your keyboard to whats displayed or start with pelco d / p
& keep punching buttons until stuff happens / I'd guess coming from todmorden the extra finger on each hand can only help as you be pressing lots of buttons
-
Mass market, not really this kit is up there with the best and really surprised you have not heard of them,
no never heard of 'em, IMHO your camera is a generic Chinese housing having only seen an imagine of the product Basson's appears to have better quality IR's fitted than the other sources who have sold similar in the UK.
using the search function your topic is the 3rd to mention basson since 2008, there even less popular in other forums.
If Basson choose not to help you, unless someone on TSI can I reckon your screwed.
-
I do not really know why folk are treated different if the kit is still theirs..
support staff cost money, there probably more interested in helping those which provide an income ?
I've never heard of basson until you posted so assume their along way from mass market,
currently 1/2 working in pelco ?

After following the forums here for many years (I seem to know the regulars...
