Cut off may, confirmed HUD's, affecting anyone yet? We are still installing to existing at the mo.

Just skimming through, noticed you can now use internal prox, and PTS to set (again)! Whats the score with external prox now? Same as before? Swipe, then terminate,or would this now not conform?

completion or arming needs to be a 2 stage process. So IMO you can arm externally but you need pts or something to complete the set.

but its close to the dual running cut off now so probably good to discuss

Yes but it sounded like you couldn't use a PTS before which you could (can)..

using an internal prox reader (part of keypad) and then operating a final circuit I would assume is the most common method used at the moment? This is definately classed as a 2 stage process right?

IMO final door set is poor. ie it causes too many issues.

What kind of issues? Every single system we have is on final door set and I don't recall this being an issue at any point? I think the alternatives to final door set will push the price to high (on most jobs).

Very very rarly use final door set. 2 people arming, i leaves just as arm starts door closes behind them while other sub is getting their phone etc. Much prefer push set. Final door should only generally be used on domestics imo.

I think your example is an unliely occurance but I agree PTS is probably a better way to do it.. As you say this is more than likely not going viable for domestics.

Sorry it want very clear.

We at the moment use final on domestics.(never had an issue on inspection, step 1 swipe, step 2 close the door?)

On a secure 1 room jobbie that needs confirm, external prox and pts
What i was getting at is an external prox and PTS still acceptable?

Yes but only as a setting type etc. You will still need to comply on unsetting
