Some time ago I started a basic Windows DVR application. Im thinking of releasing it. Would there be any interest in such an app?
It will make any windows machine a hybrid DVR. Any device that provides video to windows, ie webcams, capture cards, IP cameras etc at any resolution ie megapixel as well as D1, 2cif etc. There isnt really a limit on number of cameras but it would depend on system power etc. It can record in jpeg or mpeg4. I havnt worked out h264 as im not sure if there is a free library for encoding this.
This would be a work in progress if released and feature requests would have to be made etc.
Let me know.

For us I have, I wont be releasing that though. Just added paxton integration to it. Its more high end for our custom stuff. ie those pictures i have posted. We have a unit on that site taking h264 feeds from the sites to display on the videowall (currently 96 live feeds) and record the streams. If anyones interested ill create a topic on its setup etc.
But this app is for single site setups. I dont intend to create a milestone etc. Just a basic app that will allow recording of any device. It can be stored then on NAS, sd card etc whatever is wanted. Dont know where it will end up depends on feedback i suppose.

Yes and no. I stopped work on 2. There is a v3 that supports 10 monitors and 199 mjpeg feeds but it needs a beast of a pc. I'm planning on this being a viewer for it as well as a standalone recorder. It will also take a ffmpeg feed but I'm having issues with sync. Currently on 4 channel but ill take this one past the 32 channel limit on v2
