Guest Peter Mansion
Returned home the other day to find that all of the LED's were lit on our Optima XL6 Control Panel. Cut the mains supply and re-connected. Now only the power light is lit but the keypad is unresponsive. Any ideas? Thanks, Pete Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9988-optima-xl6/ Share on other sites

Guest Peter Mansion
Thanks for your quick reples. Yep, doesn't beep when keys pressed. Keypad back-light is on. Battery hasn't been replaced for many years. sparky83
If theres a tamper then the keypad will not respond thats what your problem is Trade Member Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9988-optima-xl6/#findComment-93162 Share on other sites
kka
yes.. if a tamper or PA fault is present on the system, it will go to lockout condition (showing the appropriate indication). the keypad will not produce any audible responses and the system will not operate until the fault has being found and rectified. quoted ' now only the power light is lit ' Kevin Scott. Any ideas? Thanks, Pete Dead battery, panel has crashed (common fault with Optima panel) As RJB says A full power-off restart may rectify the immediate problem but I would strongly advise a service call. There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
