March 1, 200620 yr comment_88796 Hi, I am new to this forum and alarms in general, just wondered if you guys can assist. I have a Concept 6 alarm, but one of the sensors is not working (no LED on movement). I have been told that I will first need the Engineer Code in order to resolve this, is that correct? if so, is there a way around this (obviously I do not have the Code)? March 1, 200620 yr comment_88798 You will need an engineer to call and reprogram the system so that it can be accessed and the fault diagnosed. Post your location one of the guys may be able to help or have a look Here Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9546-concept-6-engineer-modecode-sensor-down/#findComment-88798 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 March 1, 200620 yr comment_88872 I would check to see if there is voltage present at the Pir. Do you have a multi meter? When /if the alarm sounds in tamper enter your user code to silence. If there is no voltage present on one pir only check for cable damage or loose wires in panel etc. If you have voltage (about 13v) swap pir. Before going that far does the PIR not work either or is it just that the LED doesn't work? March 1, 200620 yr comment_88914 is it just that the LED doesn't work? some pir's allow the led to be disabled ( not illuminate). if you set the panel, then get some one to walk in front of the ' pir', the panel will indicate (how - depends on the the panel) whether or not the circuit is open or closed. if the panel indicates that the zone is open and then closes. it could just be that the led in that particular pir is disabled or broken. if the panel indicates closed all the time then you will need to use a multi meter to test the supply at the pir. March 2, 200620 yr comment_88985 if the panel indicates closed all the time then you will need to use a multi meter to test the supply at the pir. If the circuit reads as closed all the time then, assuming all the cabling is working correctly, then the supply at the PIR will be healthy. If the supply at the PIR is lost then the circuit will go open circuit\active.
