Guest steveho Posted March 24, 2006 Share Posted March 24, 2006 Hi steve, the chip with 3 pins is probably a regulator or some form of oscillator, I suspect a dry joint from what you have said, it WILL need resoldering to provide a good repair, the temp fix you have done although functional isn't right and needs correction.There is a DIY service guide on the main site that may prove usefull to you.
