February 4, 200620 yr comment_85489 Hi guy's i put 2 Dual tec sensors in a conservatory and garage, i put the wires as follows: C | N/C | + | - | T2 | T1 B G R B Y W < Colours to Panel as follows: ZONE2 | + | - | TAMPER RETURN: B G R B Y/W everytime i walk test the system, it triggers the alarm and says 1012 +TAMP S/C And sometimes it says 1012 +TAMP O/C any idea's or help? February 4, 200620 yr comment_85497 You have not wired the EOL resistors correctly. Sounds as though you have fitted both resistors in each detector. Each device does not require the 2x1K resistors when wired on just one zone you only need 3x1K resistors (1X Tamper & 1X accross each Zone). ****?**** ZONE2 | + | - | TAMPER RETURN.???? After properly reading your post, I have to wonder what you think your doing.? Galaxy panels only require 4 wires per detector, Zone | + | - , and are wired EOL using 1K resistors. February 4, 200620 yr comment_85498 Hey for that, i put 3x1k's from T2 to NC from NC to C and it come up with same problem? i've never had it before i have no idea what it could be, Regards, J Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9214-pir-problems/#findComment-85498 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 February 4, 200620 yr comment_85500 Am I correct in assuming that you are trying to get both the conservatory and garage DT's both wired to the panel as 1 zone.? ........................................................ February 4, 200620 yr comment_85501 No, i moved door contacts to zone 1001 front and back door on same Moved zone 2 to Zone 1002 and put con and garage to zone 1011 and 1012 but it comes up with 1001 to 1012 +TAMP S/C Regards, J Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9214-pir-problems/#findComment-85501 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 February 4, 200620 yr comment_85581 JMancs, have a look above at Dave's first reply. With EOL, you will only need to be using 4 wires from the detector to the panel, namely, power and EOL. As I read it from your setup. C to Zone T1 to Zone + to + - to - Your PIR sounds like it is setup as follows C to N/C through 1k N/C to T2 through 1k If you have a multi-meter, the pair should be at 1kR when idle, and 2kR when triggered. February 4, 200620 yr comment_85594 Hey, i did a reading on the zones, it does a reading, from 900 upto 1230 which is good i'd say but everytime there is movement it triggers and says "Alarm in progress" then when i put engineers codes in it comes up with 1012 +TAMP S/C or O/C on idle it comes up with -0 on readings? February 4, 200620 yr comment_85609 Ok, how is the zone programmed is it for 1k+1k EOL? Is it definately wired like this: C ------- Zone on panel (RIO) | 1kR | N/C | 1kR | T2 | T1 ------ Zone on panel (RIO) ? If this is the case, I don't see how a short could occur. An open circuit could however, occur if the EOL resistors or wires were lose. The variation in resistance you showed, was that just whilst the zone was secure? Are the resistors both 1kR? (Black-Brown-Red + tolerance) or (Brown-Black-Black-Brown + tolerance) Andrew Edited February 4, 200620 yr by cdosrun Any statement made or information provided in this post are the mere opinions of the author, and no inferrence is to be made as to the quality of information nor should any reliance be placed upon its contents.
