Wiring An Adt Bell Box To A Veritas 8

Sorry, but most intruders probably wont give a cack if theres an //.National Installer.// box on your house. If they want something inside it that badly, they will get it. A decent bell box with indicating lights is likely to be a good enough detterent, with a couple of loud internal sounders to drive them out aswell.

Don't forget he wants to use the existing bell aswell, so the tamper circuit would need wiring differently for two bells.

We'd need to know what connections are in the other box first

Hi, many thanks to Cdosrun for his thoughts as to the wiring on the new box. It works fine. I am a bit unsure as to what you mean by the tamper circuit (antinode) with two bells fitted. They are both wired into the same terminals in the veritas 8 and both sound if the bell box lid is removed, or if all power is lost, or if one of their cables is cut. Also i do have twin leds on one of the boxes and a master blaster inside and out.

... yes, but does removing the cover from either of them trigger a tamper fault at the control panel?

Yes if one lid is removed the tamper light does come on. Forgot to mention that the tamper circuit is wired from one box to the other then to the veritas 8. Is this correct? seems to work fine as is.
