Guest Jason Swain
Hi, I have a sterling 10 alarm panel fitted as per my friend, only the internal sounder on his is quiet and mine is very loud. I can't see anything in the manual to alter the volume level. Any ideas as to how i can reduce the volume on the internal buzzer ? Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9114-sterling-10-alarm-panel/ Share on other sites
FASTCAR
There is a volume pot on the pcb , to the right of the processor. This would involve opening the cover and causing a tamper alarm. ... as ususal..beware of dangerous voltages within..if in doubt , call an engineer. FASTCAR
Just enter your user code...but there is always a slight chance that engineer reset only has been set (is the system monitored ?) if so , an engineers code will be required. Mavrick_001
Normally the tamper reset is programed to any code so it should be fine. On the odd occasion you might find it's on engineer reset which will cause you a problem as you'll need the installer to come back and reset it for you. It's up to you if you want to do it, as long as you know it's a risk it might now reset, 99 times it's not user reset but it's up to you if you want to run the risk.
