January 15, 200620 yr comment_83087 Hi, I'm new here, but really hoping you can help. We've recently moved into our house. The alarm system was working fine, (veritas 8) until the decorator sliced through a wire to a sensor yesterday. I have soldered the damaged wires back together and insulated correctly. (auto electrician). Now when I try to set the alarm, it bleeps fast 4 times and then again and again, and I have noticed none of the sensors illuminate even when the system is in the reset mode. I thought it indicated an open curcuit, so omitted zone 4, went down to 3 beeps, etc etc. Does it need resetting or something? I have no manuals for it and am new to the area. Any help would be much appreciated. Kev. I'll have a look. The main 'box' has a green light lit up, so I assumed all was ok in there. Probably wrong thing to do!
