ADT Accord xpc

Featured Replies

A friend of mine has the security system //.National Installer.// Accord xpc installed at his home, but no longer wishes to pay for the callcentre facility. He asked me if I would refit his previous controller which is an Otima xm6 due to the fact that I have some electrical knowledge being a service engineer ( not in security ).

Reading the manual it appears that the comms can be disabled which would allow him to use it as a simple intruder alarm, am I correct in my understanding of this.

Yup, make sure you turn other things off too such as the 10 minute bell delay, engineer rest etc.. etc...

As an ex //.National Installer.// eng yes you can disable the digi but be aware most of the domestic systems with the accord installed do NOT have an external SCB.Its worth checking out you will probably find there is just an internal SCB

I carried out exactly this over the weekend and as the previous user suggested there is no external SAB, I also when finished programming found that the full and part sets would not actually final set. I found the reason for this was the push to set on the communicator.
