Veritas 8c Power Off

Featured Replies

I have just moved into a house with a VERITAS 8C alarm fitted. All works OK ( as a new member of this forum, many thanks to the contributor who made available the PDF of the manual as I needed one). I am having a lot of mains electrical work done and every time the power is dropped the external alarm is trggered. Is there any way of stopping the alarm during power off? I would appreciate and help.

David

Hi and welcome , it sounds like your battery is not doing its job.Its either flat , the battery fuse has popped , or the charging circuit is u/s.

Its most likely to be a poorly maintained 12v 2.1 Ah battery.

Regards.

:)

Yes , its inside the control panel (2 screws ) its also a tight fit.

Isolate the mains before opening cover.

If you are unsure , get a pro to check it out for you.
