hi

need some help woth my Scantronic 9448, when electricity goes off the alarm sounds,so im guessing from reading other posts my battery has died ,where would i locate the battery to replace, and what kind of battery is it, am currently selling my house so want the least amount of expense as poss.

Open the cover to the panel. Enter your user code to silenece the alarm.

Remove the two leads from the battery.

Check the circuit board both sides for damage caused by overcharging(may be burning marks on the PCB, battery may be deformed)

Fit the new battery close the lid, your system should be okay know.

Ok will give that a go, thanks for your help. One last question is it possible to bypass the battery as a quick fix as I am leaving this property within the next 2 weeks
