Hello, I'm doing work to our house we've recently bought and we have to keep turning of the electricity supply causing the alarm to sound for 15 mins or so, much to the annoyance of one neighbour in particular!!

We don't have the instrution......can you tell us how to get around this problem?? Thanks :(

Sounds like the panel needs a new battery. Remove the panel lid to expose the battery. Enter your user code to silence the alarm. Remove the battery and fit a new one. Ensure that you check that the panels charging ouptut still functions as this may be damaged as the panel has tried to continue charging the faulty battery. An obvious sign would be burning on the Circuit board on either side.

A local electrical wholesaler should be able to supply a new battery, otherwise you can get one on the web.

If you are unsure about checking this a local alarm company should charge about £45 to 65 for checking the panel, plus the cost of the panel. If you tell us what part of the country you are in, one of us should be able to help.

Colin.
