November 6, 200520 yr comment_74543 Hi yep I am a DIYer. To date I have been pleased with my BT VP1000 system it being my first intruder alarm. So with this confidence behind me I sought to extend the system with an External Siren. A number of companies are offering the Visonic MCS 700 868 mhz as being the solution. However I can't find any meaningful instruction as to how to get the VP system to recognise the Siren when it sends it recognition signal. The VP software won't go beyond the "Activate external Siren" step. Any help would be much appreciated Nigel Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/8092-bt-vp1000-external-siren/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 November 6, 200520 yr comment_74559 I haven't come across anyone on here using the Visonic gear. Unfortunately Visonic won't support DIY-ers, and I don't think BT have a tech support department for their re-badged Visonic equipment (although I may be wrong). Can't you speak to one of the resellers of the bellbox - they should be able to find the answer to your question.
