Just replaced 3 of these today, were these classed as any good? The terminals were massive looked more like 240v rated than 12v. Also they had a drop down viser over the element which i presume is to block off the lower zones, nice feature i thought.

I have installed many Aritech units in my day, I would say that they were of better that average quality, posible a bit sensitive in the early '90s. I always thought that they were rather over engineered, but thats not a lot to complain about.

They were very reliable, I worked on service for Securicor Alarms in Dublin we had them in most schools we did very little problems they came with masking stickers to block off areas in the field of view or for making them into long range curtain PIRs unfortunately most of them got replaced when the old genesis valiant panels got ripped out and the sales staff sold C+K dual techs in their place

Oh the good old days with all the obsolete stuff they where the best days
