June 15, 200520 yr comment_57284 Hi all, Visited a house last week with camera trouble they have installed a home network system (http://www.homenetworksciences.com) Installers charged a whopping figure for installation of this unit which controls TV points, computer network points, phone points and CCTV back to a network hub (http://www.homenetworksciences.com/pdf/cctv%20insert.pdf) They had trouble from day 1 with the CCTV then the installer washed his hands of it. When I tested the PSU it was dead so I replaced the PSU and bingo. There was only one PSU Voltek 1.25 Amp powering 4 Way camera switcher, TV modulator and 4 Voltek CT 120 Cameras (SuperCam 1) So I replaced it with two 1 amp PSU Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/6478-recorder-advice/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 June 15, 200520 yr comment_57286 Ring Voltek, i cant remember the guys name there (Dave maybe?), i dont see how a Voltek set up and DVR wont be compatable, all you would need are are the right connectors i would think. I dont use a lot of Voltek kit but what i have used i find ok for the price. I currently have a Wireless camera/monitor linked to a DVR via its Monitor output, it works fine.
