I HAVE MOVED INTO A HOUSE WITH WHAT I BELIEVE IS A VERIATS R8 ALARM. ON THE FRONT DOOR IS A MAGNETIC SENSOR ZONE 1 AND ABOVE THAT IS A PIR ZONE 2. I WANT TO SET UP THE CHIME ON ZONE 1 BUT IT DOESNT WORK I PRESSUME THAT THIS IS BECAUSE THE CHIME FACILITY HASNT BEEN ACTIVATED. IT DOES HOWEVER WORK FOR ZONE 2 WHICH IS QUITE IRRITATING.

CAN ANY ONE TELL ME THE CODES TO PRESS TO GET ZONE 1 CHIME CAPABLE. I HAVE THE MASTER CODE SO SHOULD BE ALRIGHT THERE.

Pre 2000 and After 2000 models:- enter your code press the "tune" picture or chime button, press the appropriate number of the zone you want to chime, press prog then press reset.

to deactivate a chime zone:- do the same as above but enter the number of the zone you need to deactivate.

Once the zones have been programmed for chime as stated above, to toggle chime on or off press the chime/tune key.
