I haven't come across a laptop, or a PC, yet that has BIOS password on as default, you must be lucky.

i have an ibm as my laptop and anyone is free to try 1234 or anything similar or more complicated if they want to make a bet of guessing or calculating it out before the data is irrelevant...

What model 390 is it Eng? (eg 390e)
