OPTIMA 2 PLUS

Featured Replies

Could anyone help? I have an Optima 2 Plus and on the box on the wall the red Power light is flashing and bleeping every second. It says in the manual this is to warn of the urgency to restore power and to call the engineer. As always the engineer will not be able to come out straight away.

The code doesn't seem to do anything nor do any of the buttons. I think there may have been a power cut here today so maybe that has triggered it off. When taking the front off there appear to be 5 coloured wires.

Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks

Hi,

A beep every 3 seconds is RESET required , every 5 secs is Power failure. If you are getting no response from the keypad , then it sounds like the battery has not supported the system during a power-cut, and its crashed.

Best to get it serviced.

Removing power + battery in the main control unit , then restoring mains first may revive it temporarilly , but be aware of the mains voltage within the panel.

You forgot the last step in the procedure:

Pull off wall and throw in bin.
