I went up into the attic...I found a Stradavarius & a Picasso. Unfortunately.....

Stradavarius couldn't paint, and Picasso made a shocking fiddle.

Ive no idea what the lock looks like, surely you can drill it out/off and fit a new one? This will probably prove quicker and easier in the long run.
