January 7, 200521 yr comment_36343 Can anyone give me some advice on an Accenta 6 We were called out to a customer who has one of these, Installer ceased trading or just not answering his phone. Tamper led on the rkp is lit .panel is blank end . No audilbe response from keypad presses, I would have expected to hear some beeps. System is still powered up. so I want to crash it and then check it through. Trouble is I don't know who the makers are, as I am going to need an engineer manual. or at least default engineer code Also will probably need to source a user guide as the householder has lost theirs. Does anyone know the website for the manufacturers? By choice I would swap out the panel for a scantronic or gardtec, but it looks bad when your asked to see if you can fix it, to just turn up and say it needs replacing, so I thought I would have a go. January 7, 200521 yr comment_36425 Tamper led on the rkp is lit .panel is blank end .No audilbe response from keypad presses, 36343[/snapback] It's meant to do that. Clear the tamper fault then it will come back to life. January 8, 200521 yr comment_36481 Thanks for the response guys. almost awesome, three replies overnight. Think I will swap out for a panel we understand. Simply on the grounds of economics, by the time the customer has paid the time for an engineer to play about with the accenta , it would be better to install a new panel. The last ADE product we had anything to do with was a logic 4, so thats giving the age away! Thanks again. January 8, 200521 yr comment_36483 Well you could try powering it down and then back up again and fit a new battery, if the customer insists on a repair. But you would be doing them a favour to rip it out and fit a decent one, as the accenta is technically poo.
