Texecom Premier Elite firmware

Featured Replies

Hello there, I installed a plastic Premier Elite 24 a few years ago. It has V2.11 Firmware on it from new. I've purchased a Smartcom for it and connected it up. Sadly it doesn't come up as an option on the menu when trying to program it in. I'm guessing the firmware doesn't support this. Is it possible to upgrade the Firmware to a later one in order to make it work or do I need to get a new control panel? Many thanks for any help.

You need to flash to firmware v4 or later I believe, then connect to the panel with Wintex to generate your panel's 'unique ID' before you can set up Connect etc.

How would one go about this then? I have a usb cable to connect Wintex to the panel. If it involves buying yet more kit to sort I'd rather buy a panel with the latest version on already and sell the old one.

You would need to buy the flasher interface, which sits between the panel and the cable you already have. Then it's a case of getting the firmware and following the instructions.

But a hybrid version less hassle more options
