Veritas excel Keypad cable replacement

Featured Replies

I have damaged the cable to the keypad which set off in internal sounder and external strobe.

i soldered the broke wires together to get into engineers mode but the keypad is dead.

I guessing that I blew a fuse which if I remember correctly is somewhere in the main panel.

my problem is how to I get to the fuse and replace the cable without setting the external siren off, I have removed the main fuse but would rather get it done now then sometime next week when the battery dies

thank you in advance

Do not switch the mains fuse off, you will only trigger the bell eventually when the hold off voltage drops. Battery will be unlikely to last any period of time.

Get some replacement fuses of the correct size and replace them. You can then silence the system with your temporary repair.

Any tampers would only trigger the system internally if the system its unset. Strobe may also flash until tamper is cleared.
