Not in this case, I certainly wouldn't be confident using a Response thingy as an alarm. Doorstop - yes, alarm - no.

I agree, knowing the good from the bad comes with experience.

At the end of the day this person wanted advice. You can advice people to your blue in the face but they will stick to what they know. I am not saying that the MK response is ok I was just replying to the request.

Fairynuff. If anyone wants to keep one or fit a new one then go ahead, but if you're spending money on upgrading bits of a Response you may as well put the money towards a new panel.
