Alarm system works fine, except the strobe and external siren dont activate.

A walk test doesnt work either.

When alarm is activated internal sounders are going

The battey in bell box is fine as is the tamper switches

Any ideas

System is 1996, last service 2002

Could be a number of things

Faulty Bell

Faulty cable

Wrong connections

Not connected

Did it work when it was serviced?

Do the zone lights illuminate when walk testing?

bell worked fine until a few months ago

cable runs seem ok , lights come on thru tests

not sure if bell box ciruit tho

i fotgot to say the flashing led doesnt work either

Sounds like the Bell fuse has blown and the SAB has either failed or timed out

the battery in the bell box is reading 8.1 volts , i assumed it was renewed at service.

Not usually, it could be a faulty bell box or damaged cable. What voltage do you get at each end of the hold off supply in the panel and bell box?
