how does it connect to GPS receiver?

AFIAK it can use only one bluetooth device at a time, it'd be gps or bluetooth headset...

or do you use speakerphone?

Read the PDA topics for full update but in brief: We use Arkon PDA holder (this hads a GPS built inand conect direct to phone so no bluetooth) in car this conects to GPS. The Nav Soft is Co-Pilot Live the XDA 3 or SPVM200 has speaker phone so no headset required.
