OPTIMA XM6 - Cannot reset

Featured Replies

Help....................I have a Optima XM6 installed, but suffered a power cut. Now I cabnnot get the system to work. I changed the battery for a new one, but when I connect the battery or mains power the alarm goes off!!.

The only light showing is the red power light. The keypad does not respond to my code (or to the factory 0123 code). If powwered the alarm sounds but shows no fault.

Can anyone help or is the control box had it? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tom

Doesn't sound good sounds like time for a new panel to me.

So your powering up mains 1st ?  user code (inc default 0123) Doesn't stop the sounders ,  When was it last serviced?

Mains is powered first and using default code does not stop the sounder. It was last serviced about three years ago.

If the panel has gone, what should I replace it with ?. Can I get a unit where I can just swap all the existing wires over?. There are 3 movement sensors & three door sensors.

Check the onboard fuses, especially in this case the SAB fuse.

Both are usually rated at 1.6Amps.

Yeah you can almost do a direct swap with an acenta8, or the newer G3.
