August 14, 200322 yr comment_1775 I've recently installed a 9448+, but on testing the system find that removing mains power shuts down the panel and activates the Bell. The instruction manual, suggests that the backup battery should power the system for at least 8-12 hours. I notice that the battery supplied is a 2.2Ah instead of the recommended 2.1 but don't think that should make much difference. Also as I couldn't get a 1A fuse of normal dimensions to fit in a standard fused spur unit, I have used a 2A - again don't think that this should make too much difference but could be wrong. Is the panel faulty or am I misunderstanding some aspect of the functionality? tks in advance Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/379-scantronic-9448-power-fail/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 August 14, 200322 yr comment_1776 have you checked that the battery fuse has not blown this may be a reason why when the mains is re-moved the panel falls over. August 15, 200322 yr comment_1785 Its gotta be a blown fuse fault or a completely dead battery. ........................................................
