I've got a rascal burglar alarm which was fitted well before I moved in. There's a battery fuse in it which has blown, what rating should the fuse be? The one which has blown is 250v T1, whatever that means.

Appreciate any advice regards

Batt Fuse - 1Amp (20mm)

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

It would of blown because the battery was drawing too much current, so when you buy the fuse get a replacement battery.
