Hope one of you can help me.

My nephew was leaning on the control pad and it was showing a K01 tamper error, I have accessed the installer mode and tried 99// but it won't clear the error.

I have tried 98//, I have turned off power, unplugged battery, shorted accross the two terminals as it says in the installers manual, then hooked it all back up again, but it still shows this K01 message.

Im off to the USA tomorrow and don't wont to leave the house unprottected with the wife and kids there, so any help would be appreciated. Even if it's just to get it out of installer mode so the Mississippi get at least set the alarm.

That should say so the misses can at least set the alarm.

i would suggest you still have a keypad tamper (ie the keypad thinks its lid is off for whatever reason) but if you have wiped the programming it wont work until you reprogram it. I doubt it needed wiping as id say you just have a misaligned keypad tamper switch
