January 17, 201214 yr comment_279948 Hello folks, upgrading a system in the coming weeks where the current keypad is not in view from the outside of the property. However, the plan is to install a different sized keypad that will have to be installed elsewhere in the premises - meaning it can, if you strain to look through the window, be seen from the outside... is this against regs? I always thought as long as the keypad didn't show the system status and was within a protected zone area, it was ok? Maybe not! Any advice folks? (It's grade 2 system). January 17, 201214 yr comment_279960 It depends on which standard you are installing it too 4737 it was a no no, 50131 is different it says that you should not be able to tell if the system is armed from outside the premises. Personally I would say so long as no-one can see what code you use who cares Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/32457-keypad-on-view/#findComment-279960 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
