I'm just curious as to why there are two reeds .... is there a point for this, is it incase one gets stuck open through wear and tear and the alarm will still function? Surely it cant be confirmation because thats not allowed?! Any help would be appreciated, all I know is that they look better than the plastic concealed contacts.

The twin reed is usually for higher security jobs.

the ones we use are for high sec jobs,one n/o the other n/c,cw n&s pole mag, stops magnets being taped over them to keep the circ closed,

one reed for alarm indication, the other reed to fire another device such as local warning? could be useful when used in conjunction with a fairly unsophisticated panel perhaps.

also can be used for heating systems,had me confused when i first saw it
