I need to delete an old nittan ionisation smoke and change for a new optical one. Does anyone know the engineer code or know how to do this or have an engineers manual??

As far as I know you can only change like for like without having to use a laptop and the software.

Hi i was advised by nittan that this could be done but engineer code was required then you change the device type for the particular one that's being replaced. Not sure how accurate this is.

Hi James I hope this is of some help - Pete

Many Thanks for the manual, I did already have this one though, I need a proper engineers manual that expands ont the programming mentioned in this one. Thank you for your reply..

you can change devices on the panel but will need the high level code as this procedure will bring up service inspection.

if you restart the panel with the write protect switch off it will re log the loops with devices that are present

however you must make sure the system is fault free as you can loose devices that are missing/faulty

there are loads of engineers codes, ideally if someone was a protec engineer past or present they might have the code on this forum.
