I have just installed the Honeywell accenta/optima gen4 alarm system only using pir's and 1 PA, zone 1 is the exit PIR, zone 2 is strapped out not used, then zones 3 to 7 are used, all wiring correct. When I set the alarm on exiting the building, you get slow beeps untill I move away from the panel then you get fast beeps, the system has detected me? When I leave the building then enter later, after putting in the code I have to reset the system? The alarm works ok when false entered, any ideas? Any help would be appriciated, I am using program 1. However, should I be using program 2 as I am not using a final exit door switch?

Also when I try and program it differently, it works but on double knock, the outside alarm will only sound after its been reset?

When you set the system what flashes up on the keypad zone wise?

Sounds like a programming error.
