September 18, 201015 yr Author comment_252249 only sounds Shen zone clears, a short burst open zone to stop. Works well if you have rodent damage to cables, open where convenient and short out using leads with meter on hi amp range. If you have an unwanted low resistance short, feed ewd or pirs via the faulty zone, break short siren sounds or pirs stop indicating,, quick and easy. I might be old but I've never been slow to make life easier . Arfur No argument from me Arf on making life easier, no problem with being old either. With age comes experience, knew what you meant by the way it was meant to be a joke but I forgot to put the whistle in. Seems in my case age / experience also comes with the unwanted add on of Forgetfulness. Edited September 18, 201015 yr by Specialist Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us. September 18, 201015 yr Author comment_252301 Bought a socket tester a while back, has all usual functions for checking a socket for faulty wiring but also has a loop impedance check built in and can do a basic test on a 30ma RCD. Nice bit of kit to keep in the tool bag, saves having to carry the installation tester all the time. B) Edited September 18, 201015 yr by Specialist Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us.
